"John Chamberlain: Recent Work" is exhibited at PaceWildenstein in New York

2008: Between February 14 and March 15, "John Chamberlain: Recent Work" is exhibited at PaceWildenstein in New York. The exhibition includes five sculptures made entirely of painted stainless steel.

In March, three new monumentally scaled aluminum sculptures are shown at Gallery Mourmans in Maastricht, Netherlands. Additionally, three foam pieces (a couch, a cradle, and a nest) are on view.

From March 2 to May 12, Chamberlain participates in "Color Chart: Reinventing Color, 1950 to Today" at The Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Between April 9 and May 22, "Junk: John Chamberlain, Richard Stankiewicz and George Herms" is exhibited at Mayor Gallery in London.

On April 11, Chamberlain is honored at the sixtieth-anniversary gala at the Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston.

From May 9 to July 18, he participates in "Who's Afraid of Jasper Johns?" at Tony Shafrazi Gallery in New York.

Between May 29 and July 31, "For the Pleasure of Seeing: Mel Bochner, John Chamberlain, Alex Hay, Michael Heizer, Richard Serra, and Frank Stella" is exhibited at Peter Freeman in New York.

From October 16 to December 23, Chamberlain takes part in "Molded, Folded and Found" at Greenberg Van Doren Gallery in New York.

Between November 9, 2008, and February 8, 2009, he participates in "Oranges and Sardines: Conversations on Abstract Painting" at Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.

From December 7, 2008, to March 22, 2009, Chamberlain participates in "Heavy Metal: Die unerklärbare Leichtigkeit eines Materials/On the Inexplicable Lightness of a Material" at Kunsthalle zu Kiel in Kiel, Germany.

"John Chamberlain: A Body of Work" is presented at More Gallery in Giswil, Switzerland.

2009: Between January 15 and March 14, Chamberlain participates in "The Cedar Bar" at Washburn Gallery in New York.

From January 16 to May 17, he is part of "Artists Making Photographs: Chamberlain, Rauschenberg, Ruscha, Samaras, Warhol" at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.

Between March 20 and August 2, "John Chamberlain, American Tableau" is exhibited at The Menil Collection in Houston. This is part of the Contemporary Conversations series, featuring Chamberlain's work from the collection alongside drawings.

From May 5 to June 27 (extended through July 10), "John Chamberlain: Early Years" is exhibited at L&M Arts in New York. The exhibition showcases works from 1960-1987.

Between June 7 and September 7, "John Chamberlain: A Body of Work" is presented at More Gallery in Giswil, Switzerland. The exhibition features large-scale foil sculptures, steel sculptures, and new foam couches.

From September 10 to October 31, Chamberlain participates in "Abstract Expressionism: Further Evidence (Part Two: Sculpture)" at Michael Rosenfeld Gallery in New York.

On September 19, Chamberlain purchases dozens of classic cars from the Messerli classic car collection auction in Switzerland, which become materials for his new body of work.

Between October 8, 2009, and February 21, 2010, "John Chamberlain: Metal Sculptures" is exhibited at Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden in Wuppertal, Germany. The exhibition includes eight sculptures in the glass pavilion and an outdoor installation of "The Wheel" (2006).

Chamberlain is part of "Masters of the Gesture" at Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills, California.

2010: Between January 20 and February 28, Chamberlain participates in "The Wells Street Gallery Revisited: Then and Now" at Lesley Heller Workspace in New York.

From May 6 to June 20, his work is exhibited at Galería Elvira González in Madrid.

On May 13, Chamberlain is awarded an honorary doctorate of fine arts by the College for Creative Studies in Detroit.

Between June 13 and September 7, "John Chamberlain: SINKOPEEFEASI" is presented at More Gallery in Giswil, Switzerland.

From September 10 to October 30, Chamberlain participates in "Artists at Max's Kansas City 1965-1974: Hetero-holics and Some Women Too" at Loretta Howard Gallery in New York.

Between September 15 and October 16, he also participates in "Max's Kansas City" at Steven Kasher Gallery in New York.

From October 2 to November 6, Chamberlain is part of "Masters of the Gesture" at Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills, California.

Between November 4, 2010, and January 22, 2011, "Alfred Leslie, John Chamberlain: Collage" is exhibited at Allan Stone Gallery in New York, featuring early small-scale works by Chamberlain.
